How to delete your account

Send us a request
Fill in the form below, or email info@tutionwale.in with the subject "Delete my Tutionwale account". Include your name, your institute's name and the mobile number registered with the institute.

We confirm it's you
Within 48 hours we call or message your registered mobile number, or reply to your registered email. This stops anyone else from deleting your account. We never ask for your password.

We delete your data
We delete your account within 30 days of confirming your request and let you know when it's done. Student and teacher accounts are set up by coaching institutes, so we also tell your institute that the account has been removed.
Uninstalling the app or signing out does not delete your account or data. Please send a request as described above.
What we delete and what we keep
What happens depends on how you use Tutionwale.
Parents and students
Deleted
- Student profile: name, photo, date of birth, address and admission details
- Parent or guardian name, mobile number and email
- Attendance history and the biometric device ID linked to the student
- Leave requests and study-material viewing history
- App sign-in sessions and notification tokens
Kept
- Fee invoices and payment records, for 8 years, as required by the Income Tax Act, 1961 and GST law
- Card and UPI details are never stored by us; payments are processed by Razorpay
Teachers and staff
Deleted
- Your login: name, email, mobile number, photo and password
- Your attendance records and biometric device ID
- App sign-in sessions
Kept
- Study material you shared and leave requests you reviewed stay with your institute, with your name removed
Institute owners
Deleted
- The whole institute account: students, staff logins, batches, attendance, study material, notices and website pages
- Your owner login and contact details
Kept
- Student fee invoices, payments and your subscription billing records, for 8 years, as required by tax law
Backups and legal holds
- Deleted data can remain in our encrypted backups for up to 90 days, after which it is erased.
- Data we are legally required to keep, or need to resolve a dispute, is kept only as long as that requires.
