Exam management software that does the totalling for you

Enter marks once. Get totals, percentages, grades and ranks straight away, print report cards for the whole batch, and send every parent their child’s result.

From answer sheets to report cards in four steps

The same steps for a weekly test or a half-yearly exam.

  1. 1

    Create the exam

Pick the batch and date, and add a row for each subject with its maximum and pass marks.

  2. 2

    Enter marks

Type marks into one grid for the whole batch. Type AB for anyone absent. Wrong entries, like 120 out of 100, are flagged on the spot.

  3. 3

    Check the results

Totals, percentages, grades and ranks fill in as you save. Ties share a rank.

  4. 4

    Publish

Parents get a message with the report card link, and results appear in the parent app.

What goes on the report card

A clean A4 page with your centre’s name and logo that parents can download or you can print.

  • Student name, batch and admission number
  • Marks in each subject with maximum and pass marks
  • Absent subjects clearly marked
  • Total, percentage, grade and rank in the batch
  • Pass or not passed, and the grading scale
  • Signature lines for the class teacher and parent

Questions owners ask us

Straight answers before you start your trial.

How does Tutionwale calculate ranks?
Students are ranked on their total marks. Students with the same total share a rank and the next rank is skipped, so two students tied in second place are both rank 2 and the next student is rank 4. Students whose marks are not entered yet are left out of the ranking.
Which grading scale is used?
Grades follow the usual Indian board bands: A+ for 90% and above, A for 75 to 89%, B for 60 to 74%, C for 45 to 59%, D for 33 to 44% and F below 33%. The scale is printed on every report card.
How do I mark a student absent for an exam?
Type AB in the marks box. The student gets zero for that paper and is shown as absent on the report card. If the paper has pass marks, an absent student is shown as not passed for that subject.
Can parents see the report card?
Yes. When you publish results, parents get a message with a link to their child’s report card, and the results appear in the parent app with marks for each subject, grade and rank.
Can I print report cards for the whole batch?
Yes. One click gives you a PDF with a page for every student in the batch, ready to print and hand out at the centre.
